Overview

Oodrive has developed the AdBackup Satellite offsite backup solution for offsite backups via a "local backup server", in order to simultaneously:

• Back up data locally on a dedicated backup server within the company itself
• Perform an "online"  offsite backup to the AdBackup Enterprise external backup servers of all or part of the data

Key functions

A dedicated backup server, called Satellite, is installed in the customer’s environment

Backups take place primarily on the Satellite backup server, then offsite backups are sent synchronously or asynchronously, fully or partially, to the Oodrive backup servers

In the event or a major IT disaster, if the Satellite backup server is destroyed, the "online" offsite backup data is available from Oodrive
