Security iExtranet Enterprise

Because the data shared by businesses must be kept confidential, Oodrive has maximised the degree of security at all levels of online file sharing in order to optimise the confidentiality of customers’ information.

Various methods of authentication and control optimise the application security guaranteed by Oodrive’s iExtranet Enterprise online file-sharing solution.

Secure password management

Each administrator of an Oodrive online file-sharing solution is able to activate user password encryption using the signature of their choice (SHA1, MD5, etc.). They can also manage different settings for password selection (size, minimum number of characters, use of special characters, require a regular password update etc.) in order to comply with their company’s security policy.

Optimised access and data transfer security

Transfers of files shared online using the https or FTPS protocol are protected by encryption using an 128-bit SSL key (Class 3).

Secure storage of files shared online

The administrator of the online file-sharing solution can also enable encryption of all stored files, by selecting the algorithm used (128-bit AES, Triple DES etc.) and the key that will be used to encrypt the files. This makes it impossible for files to be read directly on the disks. In addition, to optimise security, tree structures and names of files shared online are obfuscated and storage areas isolated.

Par ailleurs, pour une sécurité optimale, l’arborescence et les noms de fichiers partagés en ligne sont obfusqués, et les espaces de stockage isolés.

Antivirus for the online file-sharing solution

The iExtranet Enterprise online file-sharing interface now includes an anti-virus program that can scan all the items stored on your online file-sharing platform in order to detect any infected files. You can configure how infected files are managed and notify the owner of the corrupted files by email. This anti-virus program and the rules for managing infected files can be activated from the supervision control panel.

Detect brute force attacks and send email alerts to online file-sharing platform’s supervisor

Any attempt to "hack" someone's password through an exhaustive search (brute-force attack) is immediately detected by our control mechanisms. An alert system immediately refers this threat to the online file-sharing platform’s supervisor.

Strong authentication

The iExtranet Enterprise online file-sharing platform now supports strong authentication based on (x.509) and PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) digital certificates. Strong authentication can be enabled for all users of the platform (internal and external).

Through the certificates, it is now possible to guarantee the identity of users of the iExtranet Enterprise online file-sharing platform (non-repudiation).
