Availability

In order to guarantee continual availability of data, "quality of service" is a major concern of Oodrive. Current contracts reflect an availability rate of over 99.8%.

The technical architecture

This high availability is made possible by backing up "key" elements of our technical architecture:

1 - Data backed up at three different data centres (in France and Belgium) which have ISO 27001 certification at European level

2 - Redundancy of equipment components

  • Load balancing
  • Firewall redundancy
  • Nearly 20 application servers
  • System elements protection policy
  • Daily backup of machines

3 - Internet access redundancy (several Gigabyte lines)

Akamai Technology

Additionally, Akamai technology has increased file transfer speeds to increase performance and efficiency for users of Oodrive's solutions, wherever they might be in the world:

  • Webpage caching and duplicating in over 70 countries around the world: upto 5 times faster display, depending on the area of connection.
  • Optimised speed of file transfer thanks to a technology that calculates the "shortest route" between Oodrive's infrastructure and the user's point of connection. In some more distant regions, files can be transferred upto 400% faster.

 

Hosting

Oodrive’s production equipment is currently installed at four distinct hosting centres: two in France and two in Belgium. These four hosting centres are ISO 27001 certified at European level and are equipped with the best security available on the market:

Physical access is highly secured

  • Access points under 24h/7 video surveillance
  • On-site security staff 24/7
  • Physical access by swipe card only

Secure air conditioning

  • Redundant air conditioning
  • System with separate hot-air and cold-air aisles to enhance effectiveness

Electronic security

  • 2 distinct power supplies / 3 generating sets
  • 6 UPS, 3 of which are in use, with 3 as backup

Fire security

  • Anti-fire doors
  • Fire detection and extinguisher procedure compliant with APSAD R13 standards
  • Automatic fire protection systems

Secure data storage/storage bays

  • Personalised code/ individual alarm
