A new commitment to service: the Serenity pack

Darty, the well known retail company specialized in home appliances and consumer electronics, is launching a new software security package called Serenity.

Through this new pack, Darty is expanding its range of services by offering a comprehensive security suite to its customers' computers. To achieve this goal, the group was surrounded by three technology partners with proven expertise in their field and leadership on their market.

The Serenity Pack encompasses three components:

• Avanquest software for computers optimization (drivers update...)
• F-Secure software for antivirus and protection of privacy and of minors
• AdBackup by Oodrive for remote backup of personal and professional data

This pack is already available in 200 Darty stores in France and should see an international launch by the end of 2009.

The choice of a reliable partner

Through a rigorous tender, Darty has selected Oodrive as the most compliant provider. « At Oodrive, we really value the notions of service, and proximity with our clients. Furthermore, the software quality and hardware architecture have been predominant in the selection of Oodrive.

Save the data to avoid losing everything

The computer has become the hub for multi-entertainment and personal organization: it is used to listen to music, to work, watch movies, store photos, manage bank accounts and play ... it is not only gradually replacing the library of the individual but also the safe containing all the administrative documents...

However, the computer usage has its own limits. Viruses are becoming more aggressive, it is frequent to lose a laptop or to have it stolen. More, a hard drive crash is always possible in case of shock, surge... It only takes a few seconds to lose several years of memories, holidays, family moments or home accounting archives.

Designed by Oodrive, the AdBackup product included in the Serenity pack makes it possible to outsource the protection of critical data up to 10 GB via a secure platform. The remote backup provides a copy of all data accessible and retrievable online from any computer connected to the Internet.

The product is fully customizable and the user can choose the type of file and setup the launch of automatic backups.

AdBackup performs remote backups of a given computer by transferring files to highly redundant data centers (through a secure and encrypted Internet connection): it is the best way to ensure a full confidentiality of the data.

Serenity Pack is available in Darty stores in France at a price of € 89 including taxes for a one year-subscription.
