Always ready to listen to what professionals need, Oodrive now provides a way for them to send large files straight from their Lotus e-mail application by means of a new plug-in loaded into its PostFiles solution!

New for PostFiles: the Lotus plug-in

Since it was launched last September, Oodrive's PostFiles solution, which enables the transmission of large files, regardless of size or format, directly from an Outlook e-mail application, has been a major hit with professionals. However some of Oodrive's customers, who only work with Lotus e-mail, have been asking for the solution to be adapted to suit their working environment. So, in order to meet its customers' needs as fully as possible, Oodrive has developed a new and innovative Lotus plug-in, which it has incorporated into its PostFiles solution.

PostFiles now enables professionals to send any type of document, whatever the size or format, directly from their Outlook or Lotus e-mail application, at the same time strengthening confidentiality and providing a high level of traceability", states Edouard de Rémur, Oodrive Sales Director.

PostFiles plug-ins work on a simple and effective principle: when the message and attachment are sent, the plug-in automatically detects the size of the file to be sent. If it exceeds the size permitted by Outlook, PostFiles takes over sending the file. The recipient will receive an e-mail of a few Kb, containing the sender's message and a link to a secure download which appears as an attachment. Large files can thus be sent directly by e-mail in a totally transparent way, without the risk of overloading messaging servers.

PostFiles is also a Web interface accessed simply by connecting to the Internet, which enables professionals to send files as well as complete folders or even to receive large files from their internal colleagues or external contacts.

The ease of use of the PostFiles solution is the key factor of its success in companies. Its user-friendly and intuitive functionality has promoted its acceptance by users, even those who are novices when it comes to computers.
